Job summary

Dobu Technology LLC develops engineering solutions for smart cities, smart homes, and smart building management. This remote-enabled role focuses on developing dependable firmware for intelligent devices and systems.

Responsibilities include designing and maintaining firmware for embedded devices, implementing drivers and interfaces, and integrating with sensors and controllers. Strong English and 8051 bare-metal expertise are desired, with an emphasis on reliability and secure product

Qualifications

• Strong embedded C/C++ programming skills with production firmware experience.
• Strong FreeRTOS/RTOS design skills and real-time systems knowledge.
• Practical microcontroller programming with memory constraints and interrupts.
• Experience with UART, SPI, I2C, GPIO, ADC or similar interfaces.
• Ability to debug hardware-software interactions with diagnostic tools.
• Understanding of device communication protocols; IoT or smart-building exposure is a plus.
• Familiarity with source control and build systems; basic unit testing and firmware release practices.
• Advanced or Technical level in English.
• Analytical troubleshooting, reliability focus, clear technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain firmware for embedded devices used in smart-building and monitoring solutions.
• Develop and debug low-level drivers, peripheral interfaces, and communication protocols.
• Integrate firmware with sensors, controllers, and other hardware components.
• Investigate defects, perform root-cause analysis, and improve device reliability and performance.
• Document technical work and participate in code reviews and design discussions.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to validate product requirements and support system integration.
• Work with hardware/software teams to move embedded products from design through testing and deployment, ensuring secure products for monitoring and control.
