Job summary

World Business Lenders, LLC is seeking an entry-level Cybersecurity Engineer to monitor security activity, investigate alerts, and support improvements under the guidance of the Cybersecurity Team Lead and Infrastructure & Security Manager.

The role is fully remote with US Eastern business hours, requiring strong English communication and foundational IT security knowledge. You will engage with cloud, development, and Help Desk teams to implement approved security changes and resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Strong spoken and written English with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• Foundational knowledge of networking, Windows or Linux, authentication, and security controls.
• Practical exposure to security tools through coursework, labs, personal projects, internships, or employment; prior professional experience is not required.
• Ability to review logs, follow investigation procedures, prioritize tasks, and elevate when needed.
• Relevant education, technical training, or equivalent demonstrated skills; careful handling of confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and logs; investigate suspicious activity, document findings, and escalate incidents.
• Assist incident response with evidence collection and approved containment actions.
• Run vulnerability scans, track remediation with system owners, verify findings are resolved.
• Help with endpoint protection, email security, IAM, and secure system configuration.
• Support access reviews, multifactor authentication, and least-privilege controls; report exceptions.
• Maintain security procedures, incident records, and audit evidence; assist with employee security awareness activities.
• Collaborate with cloud, development, and Help Desk teams to implement approved security changes.
