Job summary

Speechify is seeking a backend engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable APIs that power its text-to-speech platform. You will own public and internal APIs across payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics, with a focus on reliability and performance.

You should be proficient with TS/Node, cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), and container tech such as Docker and Kubernetes, and you will collaborate with product and enterprise teams to deliver robust, enterprise-grade solutions.

Qualifications

• Backend development experience with TS/Node.
• Experience with cloud providers (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Familiarity with Docker/containerized deployments and Kubernetes HA.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs (public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth, and Consumption Tracking).
• Oversee the full backend API landscape for performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate on B2B solutions and enterprise integration needs.
• Align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience.
