Job summary

UNICEF Islamabad is seeking a Consultant to develop an Air Quality Strategy for Pakistan, focusing on WASH and environmental health. The appointment is 6 months, nationals only, remote-based with travel to field locations as required.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in environmental health or related field, with at least 8 years in air quality, policy analysis, strategy development, and multi-sector programmes. Fluency in English and Urdu is required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in environmental health, public health, environmental science, climate change, or related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in air quality, environmental health or closely related sectors.
• Demonstrated experience in policy analysis, strategy development, and multi-sectoral programmes.
• Strong understanding of air pollution issues in LMICs, preferably in South Asia or Pakistan.
• Experience in conducting evidence-based research and translating findings into policy and programmatic recommendations.
• Strong analytical writing and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Language requirements: fluency in written and spoken English and Urdu.
• Desirable: Prior experience working with UN agencies, governments, or development partners.
