Job summary

Pixalate, Inc is seeking an AI Prompt Engineer (Skills & Prompts) to own the prompt and skill layer for production agents. You will write, test, and version system prompts and agent skills that guide behavior, tool use, and when to ask for clarification, coordinating with the IQ Agent and related MCPs.

The role emphasizes engineering rigor over tinkering, with accountability for agent behavior in production and a focus on measurable improvements through evaluations and datasets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or related field.
• Demonstrable experience building LLM agents that shipped to real users.
• Hands-on work with agent skills, plugins, system prompts, or equivalent tooling.
• Evidence of evaluation discipline: description of an eval suite and a regression caught.
• Strong written English; working proficiency in Python or TypeScript.
• Understanding of tool-calling and function-calling for agents.
• Awareness of prompt injection and PII handling; safe production use.
• Comfort with some US timezone overlap; ad-tech or fraud-detection exposure is a plus.
• Experience with MCP servers or similar tool-integration is a plus.
• Data analysis background including SQL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain Claude skills and plugins that define agent capabilities and behaviour.
• Design agents that ask clarifying questions and gather requirements interactively.
• Decide what belongs in a skill, a system prompt, or a tool.
• Maintain the skill library as products evolve and as a living surface.
