Job summary

HBL People in Pakistan is seeking a development-focused professional to market Islamic liability products to both new and existing clients, driving deposit growth and income. You will manage portfolios, coordinate with shariah, treasury and other units to ensure compliant, customer-centric solutions and maintain documentation and follow-up visits to identify needs.

This role requires a bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years’ experience in Islamic banking, offering a path to deepen client

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field of study.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Islamic banking or relevant field.

Responsibilities

• Market new-to-bank clients by offering Islamic liability products to achieve deposit and income growth.
• Implement strategies to market Islamic liability products to existing HBL clients for deposit and income growth.
• Manage a portfolio of Islamic liability clients to cater to banking needs and deepen client relationships.
• Coordinate with shariah, treasury and other business units to offer the best product per client requirements.
• Coordinate with Shariah for structuring of products to ensure shariah-compliant solutions.
• Regular monitoring of the liability portfolio to maintain deposits and compliance with requirements.
• Ensure all documentation pertaining to liability products is properly executed to meet regulatory/shariah requirements.
• Perform timely file maintenance and call reports; conduct regular client visits to identify needs and gather feedback.
• Follow HBL core values: excellence, meritocracy, integrity, customer focus and progressiveness; attend trainings for skill development.

Existing HBL Client Business

• Implementation of agreed strategies in coordination with Corporate and Commercial to market Islamic liability products to existing HBL clients for deposit and income growth.
• Manage a portfolio of Islamic liability clients to cater to all banking requirements of the clients and identify business opportunities to further deepen client relationship.

Cross Functional Coordination (Internal Customers)

• Coordinate with various functions within the bank which generally include shariah, treasury and other business units to ensure that best product is offered to clients in line with their requirements.
• Coordination with Shariah for structuring of products in line with client requirements to ensure that shariah compliant solutions are offered to clients.
• Regular monitoring of the liability portfolio to ensure that deposit levels are maintained and shariah, regulatory / other requirements / conditions are being complied with.

Documentation

• Ensure that all documentation pertaining to liability products is properly executed and is in place to ensure that regulatory / policy / shariah requirements are met.

Administration

• Ensure that all related administrative functions, most importantly file maintenance and call reports are performed in a timely manner.
• Regular visits to the clients to identify islamic banking requirements and obtain feedback regarding services being provided by the Bank.

• Attend seminars / trainings to ensure skill development.
