Job summary

Keolis Commuter Services is seeking a Mechanical Electrician to inspect, install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems on locomotives and passenger coaches. The role focuses on safety, compliance with FRA/OSHA, and high-quality workmanship.

The position requires a valid driver’s license for travel across the Commuter Rail network in Massachusetts and Rhode Island, with a unionized, non-negotiable starting pay rate of $40.75 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Electro-mechanical job experience, journeyman license, apprentice position, or related experience preferred.
• Works with AC/DC electrical current at low and high voltage.
• Understands dangers of large batteries, capacitors, contactors, etc.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical circuits, conduits, components and systems in locomotives and coaches.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with supervisors, coworkers, vendors, and staff.
• Safely perform duties and comply with safety rules and procedures.
• Document tasks and training as required.
• Travel as needed across the network.
