Job summary

Zones IT Solutions is seeking an experienced R2R Specialist to manage core close activities and ensure accurate, fully reconciled account balances across the books.

You will review journal entries, perform complex reconciliations, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to support reporting and audits. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in R2R/GL, ERP experience, and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in R2R/General Ledger.
• Experience with financial close processes and complex reconciliations.
• Ability to review and correct journal entries and account balances.
• Understanding of financial reporting and control requirements.
• Experience with ERP systems and strong Excel for reconciliation.
• CMA/CA part qualified or ACCA qualification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end close activities for assigned accounts.
• Review journal entries and validate accuracy before posting.
• Perform complex balance sheet reconciliations and clear open items.
• Investigate variances and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare schedules and documentation for reporting and audits.

• Maintain control over account balances and supporting documentation.
• Ensure all accounts are fully reconciled and supported before close sign-off.

Position Overview

The R2R Specialist (Record-to-Report) is responsible for managing key areas of the financial close process, ensuring that account balances are accurate, fully reconciled, and supported. The role involves reviewing journal entries, handling complex reconciliations, and ensuring completeness of financial data prior to reporting.

Requirements

What you will bring to the team:

• 2 – 4 years of experience in R2R / General Ledger
• Strong experience with:
  • Financial close processes
  • Complex reconciliations
• Ability to review and correct journal entries and account balances
• Understanding of financial reporting and control requirements
• Assist the Line Manager on the Financial reporting.
• Experience working with ERP systems
• Strong Excel skills for reconciliation and analysis

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration (Finance preferred), or an equivalent qualification / certification (Preferably Articles from A rated Firm) CMA/CA part qualified, ACCA qualified
