Feral Paradox is seeking an experienced bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records and support reliable reporting for its Washington-based operations. The role focuses on U.S. bookkeeping, QuickBooks Online, account reconciliation, and clear financial documentation. Experience with equipment loans, fixed assets, payroll reconciliation, tax-preparation support, and lender reporting will be valuable.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize bookkeeping records in QuickBooks Online, ensuring transactions are coded consistently and supported by appropriate documentation.
- Complete bank and balance-sheet reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items.
- Perform catch-up bookkeeping and cleanup work, bringing historical records up to date and improving account accuracy.
- Prepare and review profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports for management.
- Track equipment loans and fixed assets, including related balances and supporting schedules.
- Reconcile Paychex payroll activity with accounting records and help identify variances.
- Organize financial records and provide bookkeeping schedules and documentation for U.S. tax-preparation support.
- Prepare accurate debt-service coverage ratio (DSCR) and other lender reporting, as needed.
This position is based in Washington, United States, and is not designated as telecommuting. The successful candidate will work carefully with confidential financial information, meet reporting deadlines, and communicate clearly about discrepancies and recordkeeping needs.
Job Specification
- At least 3 years of U.S. bookkeeping experience, including responsibility for accurate transaction recording and account reconciliations.
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online; ProAdvisor certification or training is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with catch-up bookkeeping, cleanup projects, and correcting or documenting historical records.
- Proficiency reconciling bank accounts and reviewing balance-sheet accounts and supporting schedules.
- Ability to prepare and interpret profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Familiarity with equipment-loan tracking, fixed-asset records, and related bookkeeping treatment.
- Experience reconciling Paychex payroll activity to general-ledger records.
<- Ability to organize documentation and schedules for U.S. tax-preparation support.
- Experience preparing DSCR calculations or lender reporting is preferred; strong spreadsheet accuracy, attention to detail, discretion, and deadline management are essential.
