Job summary

Nysonian is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to own and continuously improve the quality of its internal technology ecosystem. You will validate systems end-to-end across ERP, CRM, WMS, finance, dashboards, and automation workflows.

The role requires leading QA processes, building test plans, and ensuring data integrity and release readiness. You will collaborate with DevOps, Finance, Operations, and Development to prevent production incidents.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software QA experience including leadership.
• Strong understanding of modern web application architecture.
• Hands-on API testing with Postman.
• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Ability to independently investigate discrepancies at the database level.
• Experience testing integrations between multiple systems.
• Experience with regression and end-to-end testing.
• Experience designing structured test cases and test plans.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium.
• Comfortable working with Git-based development and deployment workflows.
• Strong understanding of bug lifecycle, severity classification, release management, and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Own the QA strategy and release-quality process for Nysonian's internal systems.
• Establish standardized QA procedures, test plans, release checklists, acceptance criteria, and sign-off requirements.
• Thoroughly test ERP, CRM, WMS, dashboards, finance systems, and automation workflows.
• Validate frontend, backend, APIs, database, and permissions across the stack.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, API, database, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate data accuracy between source systems and internal applications.
• Test critical integrations with Shopify, ShipHero, Xero, AWS, and other platforms.
• Reconcile system outputs against source data for reporting.
• Build regression suites for critical workflows to protect functionality.
• Identify edge cases and failure scenarios before production incidents.
• Collaborate with developers, ERP leadership, DevOps, Data, Operations, Finance, and stakeholders to resolve defects.
• Establish severity classifications and determine blockers for releases.
• Conduct post-deployment validation for critical releases.
• Track recurring defects and identify root causes rather than symptoms.
• Develop and expand automated testing where it meaningfully improves coverage.
• Provide management with visibility into system quality, risks, and release readiness.

The Opportunity

Nysonian is looking for a Quality Assurance Manager to own and continuously improve the quality of our internal technology ecosystem.

Our systems support critical business functions across warehouse operations, inventory, finance, customer support, sales, marketing, and analytics. This includes internally developed ERP, CRM and WMS applications, dashboards, automation workflows, APIs, databases, and integrations with third-party platforms.

This is not simply a front-end testing position. The QA Manager will be responsible for validating systems end-to-end, including business logic, database accuracy, API behavior, integrations, workflows, permissions, and user-facing functionality.

The objective is simple: systems should not reach production because someone says they work. They should reach production because there is evidence that they work. The QA Manager will ultimately serve as the independent quality gate between development and production, ensuring that Nysonian's internal systems remain reliable as their complexity and importance continue to grow.

What You'll Own

• Own the overall QA strategy and release-quality process for Nysonian's internal systems.
• Establish standardized QA procedures, test plans, release checklists, acceptance criteria, and sign-off requirements.
• Thoroughly test our ERP, CRM, WMS, operational dashboards, finance systems, and automation workflows.
• Validate functionality across the complete system stack: Front-end behavior, Backend business logic, APIs and integrations, Database records and transformations, Automation workflows, User permissions and access controls
• Perform functional, integration, regression, API, database, and end-to-end testing.
• Validate data accuracy between source systems and internal applications.
• Test critical integrations with platforms such as Shopify, ShipHero, Xero, AWS, and other operational systems.
• Reconcile system outputs against source data when validating financial, inventory, sales, or operational reporting.
• Build regression suites for business-critical workflows so existing functionality is protected when new features are deployed.
• Identify edge cases and failure scenarios before they become production incidents.
• Maintain clear documentation of defects, reproduction steps, severity, expected behavior, and evidence.
• Work directly with developers, ERP leadership, DevOps, Data, Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to resolve defects.
• Establish clear severity classifications and determine which defects should block a production release.
• Conduct post-deployment validation for critical releases.
• Track recurring defects and identify underlying process or architectural weaknesses rather than repeatedly fixing symptoms.
• Develop and expand automated testing where it meaningfully improves coverage and release confidence.
• Provide management with clear visibility into system quality, unresolved risks, release readiness, and recurring failure patterns.
