Job summary

A leading humanitarian organization is seeking a Qualitative Research Report Writer/Consultant based in Islamabad to support a comprehensive humanitarian risk assessment. The consultant will be tasked with analyzing qualitative data to produce high-quality reports on various humanitarian needs and risks. Hiring: Qualitative Research Report Writer / Consultant

HANDS is seeking a Qualitative Research Report Writer/Consultant to support the Humanitarian Risk & Needs Assessment across nine districts. The consultant will be responsible for analyzing, synthesizing, and producing high-quality provincial and consolidated reports based on qualitative data collected through FGDs, IDIs, KIIs, and secondary sources.

Scope of Work / Terms of Reference

A. Data Review & Secondary Analysis

• Conduct secondary data analysis aligned with SRH, GBV, MHPSS, humanitarian access, response capacity, and priority needs.
• Perform thematic analysis across the above domains.
• Triangulate primary data with secondary sources (PDMA, NDMA, UNHCR, IOM, KPRA, etc).

B. Report Writing

• Draft district-level qualitative assessment findings for each of the nine districts.
• Develop narrative analysis for humanitarian risks, needs, response capacity, and gaps.
• Prepare provincial-level reports (Balochistan, Punjab, KP) based on consolidated district data.
• Produce one consolidated final Humanitarian Risk & Needs Assessment Report as per UNFPA template and guidelines.
