Overview
Vitalis Ingredients is seeking a QA Technologist to support quality, food safety, laboratory testing, production hygiene, and documentation systems for dairy, powder and ingredient products.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine quality tests on incoming milk, cream, whey, powders, cheese, butter, water, and finished products.
- Conduct basic lab analyses: pH, acidity, moisture, fat, protein/SNF (where applicable), temperature checks, conductivity, and microbiological sampling.
- Monitor hygiene, sanitation, CIP effectiveness, personnel hygiene, and GMP compliance in production areas.
- Maintain QA/QC records: batch records, inspection reports, calibration and cleaning records, and non-conformance reports.
- Support implementation and maintenance of HACCP, ISO 22000, GMP, Halal, and other food safety systems.
- Perform environmental monitoring and product sampling as per QA plans.
- Inspect raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods for approval/release.
- Assist in root cause analysis, customer complaint investigations, process deviations, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure process parameters are followed.
- Support supplier evaluation, traceability, recall readiness, and internal audits.
- Ensure laboratory equipment is calibrated and maintained.
Job Specification
Must-have:
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Food Science, Dairy Technology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related field.
- Experience in dairy, food ingredients, or FMCG quality assurance; on-the-job lab and factory experience.
- Basic understanding of food safety, GMP, HACCP, and laboratory testing.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow SOPs.
- Good observation skills and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working in a factory/lab environment.
- Basic computer skills: MS Excel, Word, and QA documentation.
Preferred:
- Experience with dairy processing: milk, cream, cheese, butter, whey, milk powder.
- Microbiological testing and sample preparation.
- CIP verification and hygiene inspections.
- ISO 22000 / HACCP documentation experience.
- Experience with powder, ingredients, or nutritional product manufacturing.
