Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and execution of test automation frameworks using Playwright for web and Appium for mobile platforms.
- Develop and maintain scalable, reusable, automated test scripts to ensure quality and reliability across all applications.
- Drive the adoption and implementation of new testing strategies, tools, and techniques to improve product quality.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for test cases, test scripts, and automated test environments.
- Analyze testing results, identify potential issues, and collaborate with development teams to suggest improvements and optimizations.
- Mentor and guide junior QA team members, providing expertise and leadership in automation testing practices.
- Ensure the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of test automation systems in a continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) environment.
- Collaborate with the development team, ensuring four hours of overlap with Pacific Time for effective communication.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality assurance and automation testing.
- Expertise in agile development practices and Scrum methodologies.
- In‑depth understanding of various testing methodologies including regression, functional, performance, and security testing.
- Proficiency with Playwright (Framework development from scratch), Appium (Framework development from scratch), Cypress, Selenium as well as experience with API testing.
- Strong skills in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Java, and TypeScript (nice‑to‑have).
- Extensive experience with continuous integration tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI (nice‑to‑have).
- Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms and virtualized test environments (AWS, Azure, Docker) (nice‑to‑have).
- Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.
- Physical requirements: prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
