Job summary

GSK Pakistan is seeking a Pharm-D holder for a production supervisory role. You will lead staff, ensure GMP and GSK quality standards, and align with site priorities while coaching technicians to drive continuous improvement.

You will work on-site in Pakistan, with SAP-based production records and involvement in KPI achievement, fault analysis, and SOP/batch documentation review. A strong bias for safety and quality is essential.

Qualifications

  • Experience in GMP environment and reading technical docs.
  • Hands-on production/ manufacturing exposure in pharma.
  • On-site work in Pakistan; familiarity with SAP or similar systems.
  • Experience supervising small teams and coaching technicians.

  • Assist production manager in resource allocation, new launches and KPI targets.
  • Apply knowledge of OEE and action plans to reach targets.
  • Coordinate with engineering for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
  • Ensure staff allocation and rotations to build capabilities.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Set objectives of the staff and review achievement through Workday process.
  • Contribute in maintaining good Relations at the site in coordination with production Manager and staff involved in activities.
  • Foster team spirit and ability of critical thinking, analysis and decision making.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement through coaching, mentoring, counseling and in-house training.
  • Improve work environment by demonstrating and support GPS practices in order to drive improvement.
  • Initiate and facilitate cultural change program to support for desired culture change in GMS Pakistan.
  • Ensure that the products manufactured confirm the standard of quality and GSK standard.
  • Make sure that the SOP and GMP are strictly followed.
  • Help the manager production in allocation of resources, launching of new product, achieving the KPI targets.
  • Must have complete knowledge of OEE and action plan to achieve desired target.
  • Align with the site as well as Value Stream priorities and have understanding to achieve the same.
  • Maintain good relationship with all supervisory staffs and look into the genuine problems of staff and try to resolve them at floor level.
  • Take appropriate disciplinary action in situation going against company define policy.
  • Carry out all Production related activities in SAP.
  • Must have command of QMS and all related documentation, audits and Risk Management System.
  • Must have understanding and knowledge of deviation and how to deal with the same.
  • Coordinate with engineering for preventive and break down maintenance of production equipment.
  • Ensure management of staff allocation and rotations to enhance their capabilities.
  • Ensure the origination or review of SOPs & batch documents as and when required.
  • Provide in-house trainings of SOPs & batch documents to relevant staff.
  • Attend all mandatory training and should have command of training delivery process for direct and indirect reporting.
Education, Experience and Skills
  • Pharm - D is required for this role.
  • 1 to 3 years hands-on experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience working in a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) environment.
  • Practical knowledge of production equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read technical documents and maintain accurate operational records.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Pakistan, including shift patterns as required.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other production record systems and strong Excel skills.
  • Experience supervising small teams or coaching technicians.
  • Understanding of risk assessment, root cause analysis and safety hazard controls.
  • Good verbal communication skills and a continuous improvement mindset.
