Job summary

Oraan is seeking a Product Designer to transform complex financial journeys into simple, trustworthy digital experiences. You will collaborate with Product, Technology, Operations, Growth, and CX teams to understand user problems and translate them into thoughtful product experiences.

The role combines strong UX thinking with polished UI execution in a fast-moving startup environment where products evolve based on user behaviour and feedback.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or a similar digital product role.
• Strong portfolio showing end-to-end product design from problem to final solution.
• Solid understanding of UX principles, IA, interaction design, and usability.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design process for new features from problem definition to UI.

About the Role

Oraan is looking for a Product Designer who can turn complex financial journeys into simple, intuitive, and trustworthy digital experiences. You will work closely with Product, Technology, Operations, Growth, and Customer Experience teams to understand user problems and translate them into thoughtful product experiences. From identifying friction in an existing journey to designing and testing a completely new feature, you will be involved across the product development lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong UX thinking with polished UI execution and is comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where products continuously evolve based on user behaviour, business priorities, and feedback.

What You'll Do

• Own the end-to-end design process for new product features and improvements, from problem definition to final UI.
• Translate product requirements and user problems into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
• Simplify complex financial processes into experiences that are easy for users to understand and navigate.
• Identify friction points across existing customer journeys and recommend design improvements.
• Design responsive experiences across Oraan's digital products.
• Ensure designs consider usability, accessibility, scalability, and technical feasibility.

User Research & Testing

• Work with Product and Customer Experience teams to understand user behaviour, pain points, and recurring feedback.
• Conduct or support user interviews, usability testing, and product discovery exercises.
• Validate design decisions through prototypes, testing, behavioural data, and user feedback.
• Translate research findings into practical improvements to the product experience.
• Develop a strong understanding of Oraan's different user segments and their financial behaviours.

UI & Design Systems

• Create clean, consistent, and engaging interfaces aligned with Oraan's brand and product principles.
• Build, maintain, and improve Oraan's product design system and reusable component library.
• Establish consistency across typography, colours, components, interaction patterns, and layouts.
• Maintain organised and developer-friendly Figma files, components, and documentation.
• Ensure new designs can scale as Oraan's products and feature set grow.

Product Collaboration

• Partner closely with Product Manager to define problems, explore solutions, and shape product requirements.
• Collaborate with engineers throughout development to ensure designs are implemented accurately.
• Participate in product discovery, sprint planning, design reviews, and feature retrospectives.
• Work with Operations, CX, Growth, and other teams to incorporate business and customer insights into product decisions.
• Clearly communicate the reasoning behind design decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Product Improvement

• Use product analytics, customer feedback, support queries, and operational insights to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Continuously evaluate existing journeys and recommend changes that improve usability and conversion.
• Contribute to experiments around onboarding, engagement, retention, and adoption of product features.
• Monitor design and fintech trends while determining what is genuinely useful for Oraan's users.

What We're Looking For

• 2–4 years of experience in Product Design, UX/UI Design, or a similar digital product role.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work, including the problem, process, and final solution.
• Solid understanding of UX principles, information architecture, interaction design, and usability.
• Experience working closely with Product Managers and Engineers.
• Comfortable using qualitative and quantitative information to make design decisions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing for fintech, financial services, e-commerce, marketplaces, or consumer technology.
• Experience working on products involving payments, savings, lending, onboarding, KYC, or other financial journeys.
• Familiarity with product analytics and experimentation tools.
• Experience building or maintaining a design system.
• Understanding of mobile-first product design, particularly for emerging-market users.
