Job summary

Bestway Automotive is seeking a senior procurement leader to drive end-to-end procurement and supply planning for indirect materials and CKD parts. You will spearhead strategic sourcing, vendor management, and import logistics to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end procurement for indirect materials, CKD parts, consumables, spares, capital equipment, and services.
Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize cost and reliability.
Conduct spend analysis and category-wise sourcing strategies.
Manage supplier base, supplier performance, and strategic relationships.
Oversee import procurement and logistics, including freight forwarders and customs clearance.
Ensure contract compliance and governance across procurement activities.
Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, Finance, and Logistics to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Prepare procurement performance reports and maintain accurate records.

Lead end-to-end procurement and supply planning for indirect materials, localized CKD parts, consumables, spares, capital equipment, and services, ensuring uninterrupted manufacturing through strategic sourcing, vendor management, inventory planning, import logistics, and cost optimization.

Job Description

Develop and implement procurement strategies for indirect materials, spare parts, consumables, capital equipment, and services.
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve sustainable cost savings and procurement optimization.
Conduct spend analysis and develop category-wise sourcing strategies.
Manage end-to-end procurement of localized CKD parts, plant and engineering consumables, maintenance spare parts, capital machinery and equipment, imported spare parts, plant & machinery, and general services including annual maintenance contracts (AMCs).
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and governance standards.
Evaluate supplier quotations through commercial and technical assessments and recommend suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery, and reliability.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure material availability while optimizing stock and minimizing excess inventory.
Develop, evaluate, and maintain an approved supplier base, including identification and qualification of new suppliers.
Conduct supplier performance evaluations and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors.
Manage end-to-end import procurement and logistics, including coordination with freight forwarders, clearing agents, and logistics providers.
Ensure timely shipment tracking, import documentation, customs clearance, and closure of import purchase orders until final receipt.
Monitor supplier lead times and implement improvements to enhance procurement and logistics efficiency.
Procure and administer service contracts, including AMCs, facility management, and engineering services, while negotiating favorable commercial terms.
Monitor contract compliance, service quality, and vendor performance to ensure operational excellence.
Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Planning, Quality, Warehouse, Finance, and Logistics to ensure uninterrupted operations and timely material availability.
Resolve procurement-related operational issues and support production schedules through effective planning and execution.Prepare procurement performance reports and maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
