Job summary

Pakistan is seeking a watch-and-ward security officer to provide protection for PMU office, store, or approved project premises in Islamabad. You will follow the shift roster, monitor entrances, verify visitors, and maintain records of incidents and attendance.

The role requires reporting security concerns promptly and coordinating with local authorities as needed. The ideal candidate has a minimum of Primary/Middle education with basic Urdu/English reading and writing; at least 3 years of

Qualifications

• Primary/Middle education is required; ability to maintain simple entries or verbal handover.
• Reading/writing basic Urdu/English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide watch-and-ward coverage of assigned PMU office, store or approved project premises according to authorized shifts and duty roster.
• Monitor entrances and exits; verify visitor authorization and maintain visitor and incident registers.
• Conduct periodic perimeter and premises checks and report suspicious activity, damaged locks, fire risks, water leakage or unauthorized access.
• Safeguard doors, gates, lights and designated property during assigned shifts; ensure secure handover of keys and security instructions.
• Immediately inform supervisor and relevant emergency services of security incidents, theft, fire or medical emergencies.
• Coordinate with authorized police, building security and local administration through PMU officers when required.
• Maintain shift handover notes, incident reports and attendance records; remain on duty until properly relieved.
• Treat all staff and visitors respectfully and preserve confidentiality of site operations and official information.
• Perform other lawful watch-and-ward duties assigned by authorized supervisor.
