Job summary

Plutus21 is seeking a Platform Engineering Lead to architect and build the foundational technology platform behind how Plutus21 develops and deploys technology across the organization and the businesses we work with.

This hands‑on engineering leadership role will remain involved in architecture, coding, problem‑solving, and production delivery as the team grows, building reusable infrastructure to connect data, model business processes, and deploy AI systems globally.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience with production software ownership.
• Experience leading architecture and development of complex platforms.
• Experience designing ontologies, knowledge graphs, or enterprise data models.
• Strong full-stack background with frontend/backend experience.
• Experience translating business problems into technical architecture.
• Experience mentoring or leading engineers.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and development of our core technology platform.
• Build a unified data layer connecting databases, APIs, docs, apps, and real‑time sources.
• Develop ontology and semantic layer modeling business objects and permissions.
• Create reusable frameworks for operational apps and internal tools.
• Develop workflow infrastructure for complex business processes.
• Enable secure access for AI agents to business context and tools.
• Design APIs and integration frameworks for business apps and third‑party systems.
• Establish cloud architecture, deployment standards, observability, and reliability.
• Make build-versus-buy decisions across the stack.
