Job summary

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) on behalf of NAFSA seeks a Plant Health Inspector to bolster the foundation of the agri-trade system. You will conduct pest surveillance, collect official samples from farms, nurseries, markets and storage areas, and maintain accurate records to support regulatory oversight.

The candidate should hold a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture with specialization in Entomology or Plant Protection and have at least two years of field surveillance experience, plus basic data entry

Qualifications

• B.Sc. (Hons.) in Agriculture with specialization in Entomology, Plant Protection, Plant Pathology or related field.
• Minimum two years of field surveillance/inspection experience.
• Ability to follow sampling/inspection protocols and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Conduct plant pest surveillance and monitoring in farms, nurseries, markets, and storage areas per SOPs.
• Collect official samples for diagnostic analysis, ensuring chain of custody.
• Support diagnostic coordination, sample dispatch, and results follow-up.
• Inspect registered/applicant plant-related businesses and facilities for compliance with approval conditions.
• Maintain field inspection, surveillance, sampling, and compliance records in databases.
• Participate in surveys, emergency response actions, and verification missions.
• Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality per laws and SOPs.
• Perform other duties assigned by the reporting officer in support of NAFSA.
