Job summary

Lahore University of Management Sciences invites applications for an Application Scientist in the Physics Department. The role focuses on delivering advanced laboratory instruction for PHY 300/500 and developing modern experimental content.

You will design, test, and upgrade experiments, integrate instrumentation and data acquisition, and support faculty with teaching objectives while mentoring students and collaborating with technical staff.

Qualifications

• Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physics, Optics, Electrical Engineering, Quantum Systems, or a related field from an HEC-recognised institution.
• Proven ability to design, develop and maintain laboratory experiments and instructional content.
• Experience with optical and quantum instrumentation, data acquisition, and laboratory electronics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and manage advanced laboratory courses (PHY 300/500) with effective instruction and student engagement.
• Provide technical guidance to students during lab sessions to build experimental and analytical skills.
• Design, develop, test, and upgrade physics experiments aligned with curriculum requirements.
