Job summary

Ziauddinhospital in Sukkur is looking for a qualified Pharmacist to ensure safe and effective dispensing, review prescriptions for accuracy and therapeutic suitability, and provide pharmaceutical care to patients.

The Pharmacist will supervise pharmacy support staff, maintain proper pharmacy operations, ensure compliance with healthcare and pharmacy standards, and dispense medications as prescribed by authorized practitioners.

Qualifications

• AT LEAST 2-3 YEARS WORKING EXPERIENCE AS A PHARMACIST.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications, reviewing prescriptions for accuracy and therapeutic suitability, and providing pharmaceutical care to patients. The Pharmacist supervises pharmacy support staff, maintains proper pharmacy operations, and ensures compliance with established healthcare and pharmacy standards under the guidance of the Pharmacy Supervisor.Dispenses medications following prescriptions issued by an authorized medical practitioner.

• Perform or oversee the performance of packing, labeling, measuring, compounding, storing, charging and recording medication use in patient care.
• Review prescription for appropriateness of therapy to determine ingredients needed and to ensure correct dosage.
• Be a part in medication management which includes recommending medication dosages and routes, based on each individual patient’s needs, as well as reviewing previous and current medications to minimize adverse drug interactions.
