Job summary

Contour Software Pvt Ltd is seeking a Payments Business Analyst to ensure accuracy and profitability of credit card processing revenue across partners. The role sits at the intersection of FP&A, accounting, and commercial analysis, driving revenue performance.

You will own residuals, forecast revenue, and prepare executive reporting for Finance leadership, collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve controls and scalability of payment revenue reporting.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, accounting, or revenue operations; experience with payments, fintech, or transaction-based revenue is strongly preferred.
• Strong financial modeling and reconciliation skills with advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or similar tools is an asset.
• Understanding of payments economics, including transaction-based fees, residual revenue models, and pricing dynamics.
• High attention to detail with the ability to independently identify issues, investigate root causes, and communicate clear recommendations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort working with senior stakeholders and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Review, validate, and reconcile monthly payment residuals from all payment processors against transaction volumes, contractual rate schedules, and incentive programs.
• Investigate and explain variances, missing payments, timing differences, and yield fluctuations, and coordinate resolution with internal and external parties.
• Support forecasting and budgeting for payment processing revenue, including residuals, bonuses, and attrition impacts.
• Complete pricing analyses for Sales to evaluate proposed client pricing, expected revenue, profitability, and margin, and provide clear recommendations to support deal decisions.
• Support strategic initiatives, including new product launches and market expansion.
• Support month-end accruals and revenue recognition for transaction-based payment revenue in alignment with internal accounting policies.
• Monitor and report on key performance indicators including processed volume, residual yield, customer monetization, and processor mix.
• Design and implement pricing frameworks for payment products and services.
• Partner with product and commercial teams to assess pricing impacts on revenue and margin.
• Prepare clear, executive-ready reporting for Finance leadership, highlighting key drivers, risks, and opportunities related to payment revenue.
• Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Accounting, Operations, and Commercial teams to improve controls, transparency, and scalability of payment revenue reporting.
• Present insights and recommendations to influence strategic decisions.

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Payments Business Analyst to support Jonas Club’s Payments business. This role is responsible for owning the accuracy, completeness, and economic performance of credit card processing revenue across all payment partners. The role sits at the intersection of FP&A, accounting, and commercial analysis, and plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity of one of our highest-margin and most complex revenue streams.
