Job summary

Edge Pakistan is seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to support US-based healthcare providers. This on-site role at the Edge Pakistan Office involves triaging calls, scheduling, registration, insurance verification, telehealth coordination, and EHR tasks to ensure seamless patient care.

The ideal candidate will have prior US healthcare administrative experience, strong English communication, and familiarity with Athenahealth and Spruce.

Qualifications

• Experience in a US healthcare administrative or medical office role.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and US health insurance basics.

Responsibilities

• Answer and manage patient calls, schedule visits, and confirm appointments.
• Triage urgent clinical cases and log interactions.
• Collect and verify patient registration and insurance details.
• Verify eligibility and benefits (PPO, HMO, Medicare, Medicaid).
• Track outstanding balances past due (90+ days).
• Handle basic billing, referrals, and prior authorizations inquiries.
• Obtain external medical records, process labs, upload results, handle prescriptions.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant EHR data and clean task queues.
