Qualifications

• At least 1 year of direct experience in the US healthcare industry (scheduling, eligibility, prior authorizations, insurance verification).
• Deep understanding of US insurance concepts (PPO, HMO, Medicare/Medicaid) and patient benefits eligibility verification.
• Proficiency navigating insurance portals and electronic health records/practice management systems.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct eligibility checking and benefits verification prior to appointments.
• Interpret insurance policies and determine patient financial responsibilities (deductibles, copays, coinsurance).
• Prepare and submit prior authorization requests via web portals, fax, or phone.
• Review clinical documentation for medical necessity before submission.
• Track status of authorizations, manage appeals for denied claims, and expedite urgent requests.
