Job summary

Descon Engineering Limited is seeking a seasoned Planning & Project Controls professional in Lahore to oversee planning, scheduling, budgeting and risk management for multiple projects. You will analyze PMC reports and risk data, highlight concerns for Leadership, and lead audits of schedule, cost and quality while supporting enterprise risk management updates.

The role requires 6–12 years of relevant experience, a strong background in mechanical/industrial engineering, and proficiency in SAP PS

Qualifications

• 6–12 years of experience preferably in Planning and Project Controls.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in lead project roles.
• Exposure to project controls across planning, scheduling and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding of Project Management Processes: planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control and risk management.
• Analyze PMC reports and risk registers to highlight concerns for reviews.
• Analyse project progress, budgets and financial reports to evaluate issues.
• Present trend analyses and identify issues impacting completion or budget.
• Review project contracts and provide qualified opinion.
• Raise timely concerns and enhance transparency of project health.
• Conduct technical audits on schedule, cost, and quality parameters.
• Prepare audit reports with action items.
• Support ERM framework updates and implementation across divisions.

Job description

• Demonstrate good understanding of Project Management Processes, especially Planning & Scheduling, Budgeting, Progress Monitoring, Cost Control, Contract Management and Risk Management.
• Analyze Planning Monitoring & Control (PMC) Reports of respective Descon Divisions in conjunction with Risk Registers and Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reports and highlight concerns/differences for Corporate/Board reviews.
• Analyse project progress reports, budgets, and financial reports to evaluate current project issues.
• Present trend analyses, identify issues that can affect project completion or budget.
• Review Project Contracts and provide qualified opinion.
• Raise Timely concerns and help Leadership in increasing transparency of project health.
• Conduct technical audits covering project Schedule, Cost and Quality parameters but not limited to.
• Prepare Audit reports with action items.
• Support Head ERM & Ops. Support in updating Enterprise Risk Management Framework as per organizational needs.
• Assist Divisions / Corporate department in implementation of approved ERM framework.
• Review of received Risk data from Divisions / Corporate functions and identify emerging / significant risks.
• Support Head R&C Operation Support & ERM in communicating significant risks across company to Leadership, based on the risk data received.
• Extend support pertaining to SAP PS Module and Primavera.
• Support Head R&C in development and formalization of new concepts for betterment of the company operations as and when required by LT/BOD.

Job Skills Required

• Should have good system knowledge SAP PS Module, Primavera and MS Office.
• Should have good knowledge of Project Management SOPs.
• Should have good knowledge of Proposal Processes and Contract Management

Eligibility Criteria

Experience: 6 to 12 Years of experience preferably in Planning and Project Controls. Should have Min. 3 years of experience on projects on lead roles.

Education: B.Sc. Engineering in Mechanical, Chemical or Industrial Engineering. MS in Risk Management will be preferable.
