Job summary

World Food Programme in Skardu, GB, Pakistan is seeking an Engineer (SC8) on a service contract for 8 months. You will supervise construction, manage quality control, and ensure compliance with designs, standards, and schedules. The role requires coordinating with multiple units and stakeholders to deliver BNP-related facilities.

Fluency in English and Urdu is required; local GB languages are an asset. Advanced civil engineering credentials and professional accreditation are expected.

Qualifications

• Advanced university degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer accreditation or Chartered Engineer status preferred.
• At least 1 year of construction supervision experience.
• Experience with warehouses, logistics facilities or large infrastructure projects is advantageous.
• Fluency in English and Urdu; local GB languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Act as on-site representative for HRF site construction activities and supervise day-to-day works.
• Ensure works meet approved drawings, specs, BOQs, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate QA/QC, safety, and environmental compliance; maintain records.
• Monitor schedules, costs, and contractor performance; support progress reporting.
• Oversee contract administration, variations, and payment certification.
