Job summary

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist role based in the Karachi Division. The Occupational Therapist will assess learners’ functional abilities and needs, develop individualized therapy plans, and provide evidence-based interventions to improve daily living, motor, sensory, and adaptive skills. Responsibilities include conducting regular therapy sessions, documenting progress, collaborating with teachers, caregivers, and other professionals, and adapting classroom and therapy environments to support accessibility and participation. The role also involves educating families on strategies to support learners at home and contributing to multidisciplinary planning to enhance overall outcomes for individuals with diverse disabilities.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy, with the ability to design and implement individualized intervention plans.
• Knowledge of basic Medicine principles relevant to disability, neurodevelopmental conditions, and safe therapeutic practice.
• Experience in Rehabilitation focused on improving functional independence and participation in daily activities.
• Excellent Communication skills for working with learners, families, and multidisciplinary teams, including clear documentation and reporting.
• Background in Pediatrics or working with children and adolescents with special needs.
• Recognized degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Previous experience in special education, pediatric therapy, or disability services is highly beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively, show patience and empathy, and maintain professional ethics and confidentiality.
• Basic computer skills for maintaining records and reporting; proficiency in local languages and English is an advantage.
