Job summary

The Aga Khan University Hospital in Karachi is seeking a Coordinator for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology to oversee day-to-day ward operations, ensure smooth patient flow, and maintain high service standards.

You will coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, diagnostics, and support departments, manage records, and prepare performance reports while complying with hospital policies and accreditation requirements.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration, Hospital Administration or equivalent.
• At least three years of relevant experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to present complex issues clearly and engage stakeholders.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency with common office applications and hospital information systems.
• Willingness to work in shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day ward operations to ensure smooth patient flow and service delivery.
• Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff, diagnostic services, support departments, Finance and billing to facilitate patient care.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and accreditation standards.
• Manage cash handling, revenue collection, billing processes and reconciliations.
• Maintain departmental records and conduct audit trails as required.
• Collect, analyze, interpret and present operational, financial, quality, and patient satisfaction data.
• Monitor KPIs and prepare periodic operational and performance reports.
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
