Position Summary
The O & M Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of solar PV plants through continuous performance monitoring, preventive and corrective maintenance, and timely troubleshooting of technical issues. The role focuses on maximizing energy output, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain optimal plant performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Use SCADA, FusionSolar, and other platforms to monitor plant performance, energy production, and equipment functionality in real-time.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance (cleaning, inspections) and emergency corrective maintenance (repairs, component replacements).
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to solar PV modules, inverters, transformers, and data acquisition systems.
- Document maintenance activities, analyze site data, and submit reports to management, stakeholders, or regulatory bodies.
- Enforce site safety procedures, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with environmental and electrical regulations.
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and client technical teams for repairs and performance improvements.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in interpreting electrical schematics, operating SCADA/monitoring software, and using diagnostic tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Ability to work outdoors and travel between sites.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy Engineering.
- 2–3 years of experience in solar PV system O&M, maintenance, or similar technical roles.
