Eswap Technologies Private Limited is seeking a hands-on Site Engineer to oversee day-to-day construction and installation at project sites.
The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in solar PV systems or electrical engineering, is comfortable working on-site, and can coordinate between contractors, vendors, and the project management team to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background insolar (PV) systems or electrical engineering, is comfortable working on-site, and can coordinate effectively between contractors, vendors, and the project management team to ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification.
Supervise and coordinate day-to-day site activities, including civil, mechanical, and electrical installation work.
Review and interpret engineering drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and technical specifications; ensure work executed on-site matches approved designs.
Monitor installation of solar PV modules, mounting structures, inverters, transformers, cabling, and balance-of-system (BOS) components (for solar-focused roles).
Oversee electrical wiring, panel installation, cable routing, earthing/grounding, and testing & commissioning activities (for electrical-focused roles).
Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely delivery and installation of materials and equipment.
Conduct quality checks and inspections at each stage of construction/installation; maintain quality control (QC) documentation.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards; conduct toolbox talks and enforce safe work practices on-site.
Track project progress against the schedule; flag delays and propose corrective actions.
Maintain daily/weekly progress reports, site logs, and material reconciliation records.
Assist with testing, commissioning, and handover of completed systems.
Coordinate with the design/engineering team to resolve on-site technical issues and implement design changes as required.
Liaise with statutory bodies/utility representatives for approvals and inspections, where applicable.
Support procurement by verifying material quantities and quality upon delivery.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Mechanical/Civil considered with relevant site experience).
4+ years of relevant site engineering experience, preferably in solar power or electrical infrastructure projects.
Strong understanding of electrical systems: cabling, transformers, switchgear, inverters, protection systems, and earthing.
Familiarity with solar PV system design and installation practices (module mounting, string sizing, DC/AC wiring) is a strong plus.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, SLDs, and layout plans.
Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NEC, or local electrical/safety codes as applicable).
Proficiency in MS Office/MS Project; familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under time pressure.
Good communication and coordination skills to manage multiple stakeholders on-site.
Willingness to work on-site/field locations, including outdoor conditions, and travel as required.
