- Clinical practice: perform nursing practice per policies/guidelines
- Education: conducts needs assessments and plans education programs
- Coordinates orientation of new staff with Nursing Education Services and HR
- Develops education plans for initial and ongoing competency validation
- Develops core education for patient care needs
- Evaluates educational resources and materials
- Delivers competence-based programs to improve skills and knowledge
- Leads committees/projects related to educational activities
- Quality improvement: participate in performance reviews and accreditation processes
- Change agent: respond to changes in nursing practice with supportive programs
- Leader: role model for education and professional nursing practice
