Job summary

ChatPandas is seeking an experienced network administrator for onsite work at our Lahore location. You will monitor and maintain the enterprise LAN/WAN, configure Fortinet FortiGate devices, and design scalable network topologies to support growing needs.

The role requires 2+ years of hands-on experience with Windows Server/AD and network security, including VPNs and firewall policies. Strong problem solving and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS or related field is required.
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on network administration and support experience.
• Hands-on Fortinet FortiGate firewall configuration and management experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure to ensure uptime.
• Install, configure, and manage network hardware including firewalls, routers, switches, and access points.
• Plan and implement reliable enterprise network topologies for current and expansion projects.
• Provide direct technical support to end users for connectivity and IT infrastructure issues.
• Manage Windows Server environments, including AD accounts, group policies, DNS, and DHCP.
• Manage network security protocols, VPN access, firewall rules and security policies.
• Maintain accurate network diagrams, IP records, documentation and asset inventory.

Education & Qualification

• Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree (BS) in Information Technology (BS IT), Computer Science (BS CS), BS Computer Networks & Security, BS Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Job Responsibilities

• Network Operations & Maintenance: Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime.
• Device Configuration & Management: Install, configure, and manage network hardware, including firewalls, routers, switches, and access points.
• Network Topology & Design: Plan, design, and implement reliable enterprise network topologies for existing setups and expansion projects.
• User Support & Issue Resolution: Provide direct technical support to end users, resolving network connectivity, access, and IT infrastructure issues promptly.
• Server & Directory Services: Manage and support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory (AD) user accounts, group policies, DNS, and DHCP.
• Security & Access Control: Manage network security protocols, VPN access, firewall rules, and security policies to protect company data.
• Documentation & Asset Management: Maintain accurate network topology diagrams, IP allocation records, technical documentation, and IT equipment inventory.

Key Technical Skills & Experience

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience in network administration, network design, and technical support.
• Firewall Expertise: Hands-on experience configuring and managing Fortinet (FortiGate) firewalls.
• Routing & Bandwidth Management: Proven experience working with MikroTik routers, bandwidth management, and routing protocols.
• Switching & Infrastructure: Solid hands-on experience with Cisco switches (VLAN configuration, trunking, STP, and routing).
• Systems Administration: Practical experience managing Windows Server and Active Directory environments. (Plus Point)
