Job summary

The incumbent will mobilize communities, plan outreach activities, and report field progress while working closely with influencers and health workers to improve immunization uptake in assigned areas.

Qualifications

• From the Eligibility Criteria: You must be from the same locality (area of work) with knowledge of the local environment and culture.
• At least Intermediate (FA/FSc or equivalent) is required.
• Experience in community development or public health programmes is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Mobilize communities to raise immunization awareness and trust.
• Plan, organize, and implement community engagement activities.
• Promote missed children coverage through local influencers and leaders.
• Profile still-missed children and address barriers to immunization.
• Build relationships with community leaders, health workers, and CBOs.
• Address misconceptions and misinformation about immunization.
• Coordinate with government officials during demand generation and crisis communication.
• Participate in training to strengthen mobilization and communication skills.
• Ensure timely reporting of field activities and suspected AFP cases.
