Job summary

Z.M.K. & Co. (ZMK) invites applications for the position of Community Mobilizer under the COMNet Programme.

The role focuses on increasing community participation in Polio and Routine Immunization through effective community engagement and behaviour change communication. The Community Mobilizer will work with community members, leaders, and health workers to address barriers to immunization and support programme activities.

Qualifications

• Intermediate (FA/FSc or equivalent) required.
• From same locality with knowledge of local environment.
• Experience in community development or public health is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Mobilize and engage community members to increase awareness and participation in immunization programmes.
• Plan, organize, and implement community engagement activities (meetings, door-to-door visits, outreach events).
• Promote coverage of missed children through engagement of local influencers and leaders.
• Profile still-missed children and address barriers to immunization.
• Build relationships with community leaders, health workers, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with officials during demand generation and crisis communication.
• Participate in training to strengthen mobilization and communication skills.
• Ensure timely reporting of field activities and identified concerns.
