About the job: MIDDLE MANAGEMENT POSITION - BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & AUTOMATION
Our Client, a Karachi based company seeks to appoint experienced professionals for the following position.
Job Role
The job requires a proactive approach in identifying new business opportunities, driving growth in sales, retaining current businesses, and providing support to Divisional Teams in closing business deals with lucrative offers.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in development and execution of business strategies to drive revenue growth
- Devise proposals and group-level agreements in liaison with internal stakeholders for high-value customers
- Assist sales staff in preparing proposals, quotations and participate in tenders & RFQs
- Engage in negotiations and close business deals with customers for fuels and lubricants
- Close coordination with the customers and internal stakeholders to finalize agreements and other business-related matters
- Actively pursue high-value businesses through networking and lead hunting
- Review business proposals and recommend approvals for securing business
- Provide small scale leads to respective Business Managers and segment specialists for conversion
- Analyze business trends with view to developing new services, products and channels
- Manage prospective customer database and lead generation list that summarizes opportunities
Education
- Minimum 16 years of education, preferably Masters from a recognised university or equivalent foreign degree holder in Engineering & Marketing.
Experience
- Minimum 6-8 years of professional experience, preferably in a large national/multinational Oil Marketing Company among which 2-6 years of related functional experience in a similar role at an equivalent position
- The ideal candidate for the Business Development Manager position should have a proven track record in business development or sales, possess industry knowledge, excel in customer engagement and closing deals, demonstrate strategic thinking for identifying opportunities, work effectively with cross‑functional teams, analyze market data, and be driven to achieve sales targets and increase profitability. Adaptability to new technologies and industry advancements is also valued.
