Job summary

Abbott in Karachi is seeking a Microbiologist to support the Manager Microbiology in coordinating and overseeing all activities within the micro-lab, including sterile and non-sterile areas, to ensure timely product release and zero-line failures.

The role requires a Science Graduate or Master in Microbiology with 1-2 years of相关experience, proficiency in MS Office, and strong analytical skills to perform testing, sampling, and validation per approved protocols at the Landhi Plant.

Qualifications

• Science Graduate or Master (preferably in Microbiology).
• 1-2 years of experience in the same capacity.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological testing for raw materials, finished products, AMC, media fill runs and autoclave/dry heat sterilizer challenges.
• Maintain inventory of prepared media and culture as per frequency.
• Conduct sampling and testing per approved protocols for facility/utilities/environment/equipment and product validation.
• Ensure high housekeeping standards in Micro Lab and washing area.
• Collect sampling of water (WFI/DI/PW) and perform sampling of finished products as per plan.
• Perform sampling of air (viable & non-viable), swabs, gowning swabs, gloves prints and commodity samples as per schedule.
• Conduct sampling of glucose liquid as per Procedure.

Location: Karachi -Landhi Plant

Job Summary

To support the Manager Microbiology in coordinating and overseeing all activities within the micro-lab, including both sterile and non-sterile areas, ensuring these tasks lead to team success, timely product release, and zero-line failures.

Major Responsibilities

• Perform the Microbiological testing ,required for Raw Materials, Finished Products, AMC, media fill run and challenge test of autoclave and dry heat sterilizer
• Maintain inventory of prepared media and culture as per frequency
• Conduct all the Microbiological sampling and testing and as per the approved protocols for facility / utilities / environment / equipment and product validation by the validation section
• Ensure best standard of House Keeping in Micro Lab and washing area
• Collect sampling of water (WFI/DI/PW) as per schedule and Perform sampling of finished products of SVP area as per manufacturing plan
• Perform sampling of air (viable & non-viable), swabs, gowning swabs, gloves prints and commodity samples as per schedule
• Conduct sampling of Glucose liquid as per Procedure

Education/Knowledge & Experience

• 1-2 years' experience in the same capacity
