Leadership role in large-scale dairy

Job summary

PROTERRA GROUP in Punjab is seeking a senior MEP leader to own the full mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) function on-site across a large-scale dairy operation. You will oversee maintenance of milking parlours, cooling systems, electrical distribution and water networks.

This leadership role requires 5–8 years of MEP experience in dairy or industrial facilities, a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, and the ability to mentor technicians and coordinate with farm management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or related field).
• 5–8 years of MEP experience in a professional setting.
• Prior experience in dairy, agriculture, or industrial facility management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain milking parlors, pumps, compressors, motors, and ventilation.
• Maintain milk chillers, bulk tanks and cooling systems.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and troubleshoot breakdowns.
• Supervise feed handling and manure management systems.
• Inspect and maintain electrical panels and LT/HT distribution systems.
• Manage generators and backup power for zero downtime.
• Oversee motor control systems and VFDs.
• Drive energy management and support automation systems.
• Manage bore wells, storage tanks and water distribution networks.
• Oversee pipeline design, installation and maintenance.
• Maintain drainage, waste management and leak detection programs.
• Ensure dairy-grade sanitation and hygiene standards.
• Lead and mentor MEP technicians and maintenance teams.
• Coordinate with farm management and construction teams.
• Maintain maintenance logs, reports and compliance documentation.
• Manage spare parts inventory and procurement.

Role Overview
