Job summary

Qualifications

Role Description

The Medical Biller role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Karachi Division. The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurate and timely claims submission, payment posting, and account reconciliation across multiple payers, including commercial insurance and government programs. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing patient information, verifying insurance coverage, assigning appropriate ICD-10 codes, and following up on unpaid or denied claims to maximize reimbursement. The role also involves communicating with providers, payers, and internal teams regarding claim status, appeal requirements, and documentation needs. The Medical Biller will contribute to denial management, AR recovery, and process improvements that support efficient revenue cycle operations for client practices.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Medical Terminology to interpret clinical documentation and support accurate billing.
• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and related billing standards to assign appropriate diagnosis codes and support clean claims.
• Experience working with Insurance payers, including commercial plans and Medicare, and familiarity with their billing and reimbursement guidelines.
• Skills in managing Denials, including identifying root causes, preparing appeals, and supporting AR recovery processes.
• Previous experience in medical billing, RCM, or healthcare finance in a clinic or small practice setting.
• Proficiency with medical billing software, practice management systems, and basic spreadsheets.
• Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to work with confidential health information in line with compliance standards.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant certification or training in medical billing and coding is preferred; a diploma or degree in a healthcare or business-related field is an advantage.
