Job description

We are seeking a meticulous and dedicated Manual QA Tester to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through rigorous testing. You will work closely with the development team to identify, document, and track defects, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develop, document, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and technical specifications.
2. Execute manual test cases and report test results.
3. Identify, document, and track defects and issues in the defect tracking system.
4. Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide timely feedback.
5. Participate in requirement and design review meetings.
6. Provide detailed reports on testing progress, coverage, and results to the QA Manager and other team members.
7. Ensure software functionality meets the specified requirements and is free of defects.
8. Validate that user expectations are achieved during the testing process.
9. Verify fixes for defects and ensure they meet the quality standards.
10. Create and maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation for all test activities.
11. Document and communicate test results, analysis, and recommendations.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. Proven experience as a Manual QA Tester or similar role.
2. Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
4. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
5. Proficiency in test management tools and defect tracking systems (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
6. Basic understanding of SQL and the ability to query databases.
7. Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
