Job summary

A leading company in the gas sector is seeking a qualified Auditor to ensure compliance with Public Procurement Rules. The role involves reviewing tender documents, supporting management in internal control implementations, and highlighting non-compliances. Ideal candidates will have a CA/ACMA or an ACCA/MBA with relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • Fresh CA / ACMA or ACCA / MBA in Finance from an HEC recognized university.
  • At least 4 years of experience required.
  • Strong knowledge of Public Procurement Rules (PPRA) is essential.

Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

The main purpose of this position is to undertake audit/evaluation of tender documents and contracts, including service agreements. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring compliance with Public Procurement Rules.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Review tender documents and contracts prior to approval by senior management.
  2. Review tender evaluation reports prepared by Procurement to ensure compliance with Public Procurement Rules (PPRA) and prescribed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) of SSGCL.
  3. Support senior management in implementing internal controls to ensure accurate and timely verification of invoices pertaining to services.
  4. Highlight relevant observations to user departments to rectify non-compliances.
  5. Conduct evaluation of reports and terms of reference of project agreements/contracts, including verification of stamp duty, insurance policies, undertakings, PBG, LTP, payment structures, BOQ, and PO/SPO.
  6. Follow the system established by SSGC and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with policies, regulations, procedures, and laws.
  7. Assist in providing feedback regarding analysis of cost and price calculations.
  8. Ensure compliance with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework while performing job responsibilities.
  9. Ensure adherence to the Business Principles and Ethics Policy / Code of Conduct.
  10. Undertake any other tasks assigned by management.
