Overview
CA, ACCA, CIMA, ACMA, MBA or Masters in Finance or Taxation
Job Objective: Processing of all applicable taxes and coordinating with tax authorities, tax council and bank branches for tax related activities.
Responsibilities
- Manage Tax Deposits, Deductions & Returns
- Ensure that Bank deducts and deposits tax in accordance with applicable tax laws.
- Track Bank advance tax deductions.
- Prepare withholding tax, advance tax and sales tax/FED statements/returns as required by applicable laws.
- Prepare Bank annual tax returns in consultation with tax council.
- Ensure all relevant records of taxation are prepared and maintained.
- Compute monthly Corporation tax liability.
- Prepare Reconciliation of all indirect and direct tax ledgers.
- Taxation Planning & Implementation
- Develop and implement tax planning strategies and tax efficient structures.
- Assess the impact assessments of taxation laws for short (day-to-day) and longer-term business interests of the company.
- Responsible for quality assurance of the taxation-related procedures /activities.
- Liaison with External & Internal Stakeholders
- Respond to all tax queries from branches and tax authorities.
- Handle court cases, assessments/audit/appeals at tax forums and tax cash flow management.
- Engage/assess and manage performance of tax consultants/lawyers.
- Compliance
- Manage corporate tax compliance including review and submission of tax returns.

- Strong analytical, interpersonal communication and time management skills.
- Negotiator, self-starter, assertive, team player, highly punctual and able to resolve conflicts without compromising on job objectives.
- Should have the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Sound knowledge of Income Tax Ordinance, 2011, Sales Tax Act, Federal Excise Act & related circulars and its interpretation.
- Proficient in processing tax deposits, deductions and returns.
- Proficient in MS Office suite especially Excel.
- Ability to adapt to changing environment.
