The opportunity

Our GCR tax service line operates as a team of highly experienced tax professionals who focus on delivering efficient and effective resources to companies in the region. Our goal is to improve quality, manage risk, create efficiency and drive value. We provide an integrated, consistent, and flexible quality service to address direct and indirect tax compliance, statutory accounting and financial reporting, and tax accounting, supporting clients across a range of industries.

Your key responsibilities

You will combine strong technical skills with practical commercial, legislative and industry knowledge to lead a team in providing tax services. Responsibilities include managing client engagements on a day‑to‑day basis, monitoring progress and deliverables, establishing standardized processes, anticipating and identifying risks, escalating issues appropriately, and driving performance‑improvement solutions. You will also assist in building new business opportunities and maintaining client relationships, support engagement economics by organizing staffing and tracking fees, and ensure adherence to our Tax Quality guidelines.

If you are an excellent communicator, detail‑oriented professional with a strong track record of management experience and comfortable working across borders with a wide network of people and large amounts of data, you will be a great fit for this role.

To qualify for the role you must have

• A bachelor’s degree with strong academic credentials in accounting, business, finance, taxation or a related field.
• An MBA, master’s degree, or other advanced professional qualification such as CA, CPA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge and over 5 years of experience in domestic and international tax rules, regulations, and developments, ideally within a large professional services firm or similar environment.
• Background in corporate tax, tax compliance, tax accounting and tax auditing, ideally within a large professional services company.
• A proven track record of managerial, organizational and project‑management experience.

Ideally, you will also have

• Experience dealing with multinational clients and working in a multi‑cultural environment.
• In‑depth commercial, legislative and industry knowledge.
• Experience with UAE corporate tax and tax compliance.
