Job summary

PMCL-JAZZ's Manager Finance Applications – ESS, reporting to the Head of Finance Transformation, owns the evolution, optimisation and governance of the ERP landscape supporting Finance, ensuring reliable, integrated and automated core processes.

The role partners with Finance, Technology, Internal Controls, Procurement and delivery teams to drive ERP upgrades, migrations and enhancements, translate business needs into functional designs, and strengthen controls and data quality.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in ERP-enabled Finance transformation, applications management, implementation delivery or process optimisation.
• Exposure to a leading enterprise ERP and qualifications in Finance, delivery, controls or technology are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Own the Finance ERP roadmap, enhancement backlog and delivery priorities, translating requirements into designs.
• Lead upgrades, migrations, implementations and integrations, including validation and cutover.
• Ensure solutions address accounting treatment, approvals, auditability and reporting, strengthening controls.

What is Manager Finance Applications - ESS?

Manager Finance Applications – ESS, reporting to the Head of Finance Transformation, this role owns the evolution, optimisation and operational governance of the ERP landscape supporting Finance. Acting as the bridge between Finance priorities and technology delivery, the incumbent ensures core Finance processes remain reliable, controlled, well-integrated and progressively automated, while partnering closely with Finance, Technology, Internal Controls, Procurement and delivery partners to continuously improve the ERP ecosystem.

What does Manager Finance Applications – ESS do?

The role leads the evolution, optimisation and operational governance of the ERP landscape supporting Finance. It connects Finance priorities with technology delivery so that core processes remain reliable, controlled, integrated and progressively automated. The incumbent partners with Finance, Technology, Internal Controls, Procurement and delivery partners to improve the ERP ecosystem.

ERP Strategy and Application Ownership

• Own the Finance ERP roadmap, enhancement backlog and delivery priorities.
• Translate business requirements into scalable functional designs and implementation plans.
• Drive process simplification, standardisation and automation using ERP capabilities.
• Maintain oversight of Finance modules, workflows, integrations, reports and dependencies.

Transformation, Controls and Change Delivery

• Lead Finance participation in ERP upgrades, migrations, implementations and integrations.
• Coordinate design validation, configuration review, testing, data readiness and cutover.
• Ensure solutions address accounting treatment, approvals, auditability and reporting.
• Strengthen controls within ERP processes, roles, workflows and interfaces.
• Drive incident root-cause analysis and convert recurring workarounds into improvements.

• Stable applications with fewer recurring incidents and manual workarounds.
