Commercial Manager will identify and improve, plan and execute all the process in commercial that includes Procurement, Dispatch and Stores and Planning for goods and components demanded by Sales. Create integrated processes among Operations, Purchase, Logistics, and outside suppliers to execute the planning/replenishment process. Identify systems tools needed to implement planning/forecasting systems. Lead re-engineering efforts as it relates to Commercial Department Planning and Execution systems.
Responsibilities
- Identify and improve commercial processes including Procurement, Dispatch, Stores, and Planning for goods and components demanded by Sales.
- Create integrated processes among Operations, Purchase, Logistics, and outside suppliers to execute planning/replenishment.
- Identify systems tools needed to implement planning/forecasting systems and lead related re-engineering efforts.
- Manage and supervise staff tasked with creating material requirement plans and/or forecasts.
- Establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting; measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis and present results to top management.
- Familiar with the development, use, and implementation of planning and forecasting systems; apply expertise to specify system functionality in the planning/forecasting process.
- Utilize computer software programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and other Procurement, Pricing and Inventory management tools) for data analysis and feedback.
Job Specification
- Supervise 8-10 executive level employees; responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the department and teams.
- Manage the total supply chain for the company’s rapidly growing product lines; accountability for imports, capacity planning, distribution channels and warehouse inventory, and relations with our Principles.
- Collaborate with sales to link forecasts to purchasing/procurement and inventory management.
- Identify areas for cost reductions and implement strategies for cost reduction and containment.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and rules/regulations, including screening new staff, training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
