Job summary

K Electric Gmbh in Karachi is seeking a senior Professional to lead financial planning, performance management and asset governance across the Generation portfolio. You will drive budgeting, forecasting, reporting and regulatory coordination to support management decisions.

The role requires 5–7 years of relevant experience in power/energy sectors, with strong SAP/ERP, Power BI and Excel skills, and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Business Planning, Performance & Reporting
• Manage Generation budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis and financial performance monitoring
• Prepare periodic and ad‑hoc management reports, dashboards and business insights
• Monitor O&M costs and performance trends for improvements
• Oversee outsourced operations financial matters including contracts and invoicing
• Benchmark against industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Support cost‑benefit analyses and performance enhancement initiatives
• Review plant performance for improvement

• Oversee fixed asset lifecycle management and governance activities
• Manage inventory optimization and control across Generation facilities

Purpose

Education

• ACA / ACCA / ACMA or equivalent professional qualification

• Business Planning, Performance & Reporting
• Manage Generation budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and financial performance monitoring activities.
• Prepare periodic and ad‑hoc management reports, dashboards, and business insights to support management decision‑making.
• Monitor O&M costs and business performance trends and highlight opportunities for operational and financial improvement.
• Manage financial and commercial matters related to outsourced operations and maintenance contracts, including budget monitoring, invoice verification, cost analysis, contract performance reviews, and management reporting.
• Benchmark Generation performance against industry standards and NEPRA requirements and key insights to management.
• Support business case evaluations, cost‑benefit analyses, and performance enhancement initiatives.
• Review performance of generating plants and highlight key areas for improvement.
• Asset, Inventory & Project Governance
• Oversee fixed asset lifecycle management, capitalization, asset standardization, and governance activities.
• Manage inventory optimization, categorization, cleansing, and control activities across Generation facilities.
• Coordinate project financial closure, settlement, capitalization, and post‑implementation reviews.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity, and compliance of asset, inventory, and project‑related records and reporting.
• Regulatory, Audit & Compliance Management
• Act as the focal point for regulatory matters, data requests, and compliance requirements, including coordination with NEPRA.
• Coordinate with Internal and External Auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit observations.
• Support enhancement of internal controls, governance processes, and compliance with company policies and regulatory obligations.
• Provide timely responses to management, regulatory, and audit‑related queries.
• Process Improvement, Stakeholder & People Management
• Manage reporting enhancement, process automation, and digital transformation initiatives within the function.
• Collaborate with Plant Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, HR, Regulatory Affairs, and management to achieve departmental objectives.
• Supervise, develop, and mentor team members while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Support departmental objectives through effective planning, prioritization, and execution of assigned initiatives.
