Job summary

Nextbridge is seeking a skilled Machinist/Fabricator to join our workshop team. The role involves operating lathe and milling machines, performing welding, and handling mechanical fitting and assembly from technical drawings to produce high-quality components.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in machining and fabrication, with the ability to read engineering drawings and use precision measuring tools.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical, Machining, or relevant trade.
• 2–5 years of experience in machining, welding, and fitting.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Strong knowledge of lathe and milling operations, welding techniques, and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up lathe and milling machines for precision machining tasks.
• Perform welding (arc/MIG/TIG as applicable) for fabrication and repair work.
• Carry out mechanical fitting and assembly, including drilling, grinding, and alignment.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Inspect and measure parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision tools.
• Maintain machines, tools, and workshop equipment in proper working condition.
• Ensure jobs are completed to required specifications and within deadlines.
• Troubleshoot machining and fitting issues and suggest improvements.
• Comply with workshop safety standards and safe operation of machinery.
• Experience in industrial workshop environments.
• Familiarity with CNC operations (optional but preferred).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
