Job summary

HumanTek seeks a Live2D Rigger (Rookie Level) in Karachi to prepare and rig 2D character models for animation using Live2D Cubism. You will focus on facial expressions, body movements, and basic physics while keeping projects organized. You will collaborate with illustrators and the production team to deliver high-quality VTuber models.

The ideal candidate has a foundational understanding of Live2D rigging, is eager to learn, and capable of following established workflows and naming conventions.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of Live2D Cubism and rigging workflow.
• Clear understanding of X/Y face angle rigging for smooth facial movement.
• Basic knowledge of Warp Deformers and Rotation Deformers.
• Basic understanding of Live2D Physics, including hair and body sway.
• Experience with mesh creation, editing, and organization.
• Understanding of angle movements (X, Y, and Z) on model parts.
• Knowledge of creating, editing, and managing Keyforms.
• Understanding of eye blink setup and mouth opening/closing parameters.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively and follow production guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare PSD files for Live2D rigging with proper layer organization.
• Create and organize meshes for different model parts.
• Set up basic Warp Deformers and Rotation Deformers following best practices.
• Develop clean and organized Live2D project files.
• Rig smooth facial movements using X and Y face angles.
• Implement basic eye blink and mouth movement parameters.
• Create and manage Keyforms for facial expressions and parameter transitions.
• Ensure natural movement across different facial angles and expressions.
• Apply basic Live2D Physics for hair, accessories, and body movement.
• Test and refine movements to ensure smooth animation performance.
• Review rigs for consistency, accuracy, and smooth parameter transitions.
• Collaborate with illustrators and senior riggers to resolve PSD or rigging issues.
• Follow established production workflows and naming conventions.
• Continuously improve technical knowledge through feedback and training.

Position Summary

The Live2D Rigger (Rookie Level) is responsible for preparing and rigging 2D character models for animation using Live2D Cubism. This role focuses on creating smooth facial expressions, natural body movements, and basic physics while maintaining clean project organization. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in Live2D rigging principles, is eager to learn, and can work collaboratively with illustrators and the production team to deliver high-quality VTuber models.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare PSD files for Live2D rigging with proper layer organization.

Physics & Motion Setup

• Apply basic Live2D Physics for hair, accessories, and body movement.
• Configure simple sway and secondary motion for a more natural appearance.
• Test and refine movements to ensure smooth animation performance.

Quality & Collaboration

• Review rigs for consistency, accuracy, and smooth parameter transitions.
• Collaborate with illustrators and senior riggers to resolve PSD or rigging issues.
• Follow established production workflows and naming conventions.
• Continuously improve technical knowledge through feedback and training.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of Live2D Cubism and its rigging workflow.
