Job summary

Raqami Islamic Digital Bank Ltd. is seeking an Assistant Manager Litigation in Karachi to manage all litigation matters, advise on dispute resolution, and liaise with external counsel.

The role reports to the Head of Legal and Company Secretary and requires experience in banking or financial services. The incumbent will coordinate court matters, review pleadings, prepare summaries, monitor hearings, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-6 years of relevant experience in litigation, legal advisory, and court proceedings.
• Banking/financial services or corporate sector experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all litigation, recovery, labor, civil, criminal, and regulatory cases for the organization.
• Coordinate with external lawyers and legal consultants on ongoing court matters.
• Review legal notices, petitions, pleadings, affidavits, and other pleadings.
• Prepare case summaries, reports, and updates for senior leadership.
• Monitor hearings and ensure timely filings and documentation.
• Provide opinions on litigation risks and dispute resolution strategies.
• Interface with courts, regulatory authorities, and government departments as needed.
• Assist in handling contractual disputes and recovery matters.
• Maintain litigation records and legal databases.
• Support development of strategies to minimize litigation exposure and financial risk.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Provide guidance to business units on contentious matters and disputes.
• Assist in settlements, negotiations, and mediations where appropriate.
• Monitor legislative changes and their impact on the organization.
