Job summary

Mashreq Bank PSC is seeking a Field Collections Officer to visit customers at their homes or businesses, assess overdue accounts, and drive recovery activities in line with bank policies and regulatory requirements.

You will coordinate with customers to arrange payments through digital channels, collect only when authorized, issue receipts, and record commitments (PTP) while upholding integrity and excellent service in a demanding field role across assigned areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Valid motorcycle driving license and ability to travel extensively.
• Experience in field collections or customer-facing field operations.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate payment through approved digital or banking channels wherever possible.
• Collect cash or cheques only if specifically authorized by the Bank and issue receipts for authorized collections.

Job Purpose

To conduct field visits to customers for the collection of overdue payments, delivery of collection notices where applicable, verification of customer whereabouts, and support recovery activities while ensuring compliance with the Bank's collection policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical collection practices.

Key Result Areas

• Visit customers at their residential or business addresses to collect overdue payments.
• Facilitate payment through approved digital or banking channels wherever possible.
• Collect cash or cheques only if specifically authorized by the Bank and strictly in accordance with established cash-handling procedures. Issue official payment receipts for any authorized physical collections.
• Encourage customers to make timely payments and explain available payment options.
• Obtain and record customer payment commitments (Promise to Pay – PTP).

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree.
• Valid motorcycle driving license.
• Ability to ride safely and travel extensively within assigned areas.

Technical Skills

• Basic knowledge of collection processes.
