Job description
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
  • As a Test Engineer, you will use your industrial automation control system domain knowledge in validating our next generation Automation Controller product lines and IO modules.
  • Work in small, self‑motivated teams collaborating with Product Owner to derive requirements for validation and verification plan. Break down problems and estimate time for development tasks, story points etc.
  • Be involved in all phases of system test development from product definition to production release. Develop Test Strategy and derive Test Requirements from Product & System specifications.
  • Design optimal Test Systems and Automated Test Fixtures for ensuring adequate Test coverage.
  • Use your strong knowledge in PLC programming languages – Ladder, FBD, SFC and scripting. Ethernet based Industrial protocols - MODBUS TCP, PROFINET IO, EtherCAT, IEC61850, DNP3, IEC104 etc., Automation scripts in developing system level tests.
  • Make technical presentations to peers and managers on the details of architecture, design, technical risks etc.
  • Knowledge of product development lifecycle and its various stages. Exposure of working in waterfall & agile projects.
  • Use excellent communication skills to interface with technical architects on complex technical issues.

For This Role, You Will Need:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5‑8 years of experience with domain knowledge in Industrial automation and related products like Programmable controllers – PLCs, DCS, I/O modules.
  • Industrial Communication protocols like MODBUS TCP, PROFINET, ETHERCAT, IEC61850 Client and Server, IEC104 Client/Server, DNP3 Master/Slave, HMI/SCADA etc.
  • Programming skills using scripting languages like Python. Test automation for Industrial control system and IO modules.
  • Basic experience with programming languages like C#, C++ used for Test Automation purpose.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
  • Industrial Automation Knowledge and exposure in using Controller programming/HMI software is added advantage.
